This week DUO won a prestigious Queen’s award for export by bringing beautifully fitted boots to women all over the world!

This “outstanding achievement by a UK Business” is something that we are all very proud of, as shows the highest levels of excellence in business. We want to thank all our overseas customers for your continued support, we couldn’t have done this without you!

DUO has been recognised for an outstanding performance in overseas markets. In the last three years, we have sent footwear to customers in 132 countries and currently offer free delivery worldwide.

Announced on Her Majesty’s birthday on April 21^st, the Awards are the UK’s highest accolade for business success. They are made each year by The Queen, on the advice of the Prime Minister, who is assisted by an Advisory Committee.

DUO’s CEO Nick Sinfield comments: “To receive an award in Jubilee year seems extra special, and to have responded so positively to the government’s call to action on exports leaves us in no doubt of our contribution to the wider economy.

“At the same time we’re proud to have fostered so many new relationships with European customers through a period of instability in the eurozone – it reflects very well on our unique blend of style and tailoring.”

Other winners included Hackett, Marks & Spencer and Nissan ( Sunderland plant). DUO’s success story was printed in the Financial Times on Sunday 22nd April 2012  alongside the full list of winners.
