BUYING DUOS AS A GIFT (WITHOUT HER KNOWING)

This is trickier but here are a few helpful hints:

Step 1- Foot Size:

Look at the rest of her shoe collection, her favourite shoes or boots if you can and record the continental size (e.g 38, 39). If you can only find English scale shoes, here’s a chart to help you translate:
Continental UK USA Australia
35 2 5 4.5
36 3 6 5.5
37 4 6.5 6.5
38 5 7.5 7.5
39 6 8 8.5
40 7 9 9.5
41 8 10 10.5
42 9 11 11.5
43 10 11 12.5

Step 2 - Leg size (or foot measurements for width fit shoes):

To offer the best chance of a first time fit we need to know her calf size. That’s the circumference of her leg, remembering to measure the widest point of the calf. If you’re intent on keeping this a secret, find a friend with similar size legs and measure hers!

Click to visit our Fitting Guide pages to see how to do this.

Step 3 - Choose a style:

You may have an idea of what you’d like to buy her - from casual flat boots to elegant heels. If you’re struggling for inspiration however, call our knowledgeable service team on 0345 070 5588 or email us here – they know our range of boots inside out and with a little insight into your partner’s lifestyle will help narrow down the choice for you.

Step 4 - Placing your order:

The simple bit. Just follow our easy online ordering process. If it remains a secret at this stage, take up the option to specify a different delivery address so there’s no risk that she’ll find out before the big day.
