Are my DUO boots/shoes waterproof? ▼
Leather products are not waterproof, they are water resistant. Leather has pores to help it breathe, therefore while it resists water very well, it is not completely waterproof.
To keep your leather DUO boots and shoes in their best condition and to help them resist water, please polish them regularly with a wax polish.
Suede and nubuck should be sprayed with a good quality protective spray before you wear them, and again at regular intervals.

Can I re-heel and resole my DUO boots? ▼
The vast majority of our boots can be resoled and re-heeled. If you notice that your heel or sole starts to wear, replacing it will ensure that your boots last longer and stay in a better condition.
Certain styles have hard-wearing rubber soles and it may not be possible to resole. These styles are highlighted on the website in the product details and descriptions, if you are unsure and wish to be able to resole your footwear, please check with our Customer Service team on 00800 3862 6687 or email us here, or speak to us in-store.

Can I dry my boots on the heater? ▼
Leather products should not be exposed to direct heat as they are susceptible to heat damage. You should never dry your boots or shoes with direct heat or leave them in a hot environment. You can stuff your boots with some newspaper and let them dry at a room temperature.
Boots and shoes should be left to dry for 24 hours as dampness can lead to increased and more rapid water ingress if the footwear is worn again in wet conditions. After being dried, your boots and shoes should be polished or sprayed again to protect the leather.

Can I wear my boots in the snow? ▼
We do recommend taking extra care of your boots when you wear them in snow as leather can be damaged by salt stains. To prevent that, please make sure you always polish your boots and use protector spray regularly. If you do get caught out in the snow, the best thing to do is to try and remove the stains as soon as they appear using a damp soft cloth and then once the boots are dry to polish them.

Style-specific care:
- Certain styles have a wooden effect around the heel, therefore to keep the heel in its best condition, the heel needs to be polished with a clear polish. This will prevent it from becoming brittle over time and peeling off.
- Styles that are made of aniline leather need to be treated with a special polish as ordinary shoe polish does not have the right spirit levels. You can contact our Customer Service if you are unsure what polish to use.
