How do I measure my calf?

  1. Find a tape measure and take a seat. A piece of string and a ruler will do just as well. Alternatively, download and print a measuring tape here.
  2. Wrap the tape (or string, ribbon, etc) around the widest part of your calf, leaving no gap, and measure to the nearest 1cm.
  3. Measure both calves and use the wider measurement when placing your order.

For more tips on how to measure your calf, please have a look at our fitting advice pages here.

Do your boots come in half sizes?

Our boots start at a size 35 (UK2) and go up to a size 43 (UK10) in many styles, but we do not offer half sizes. We will always do our best to help you find the right fit, and having a perfect fit on the calf often provides a more secure fit on the foot too, as your calf sits comfortably and correctly in the boot. You may try a size up with an insole, which provides padding and more comfort for your foot in the boots. Please look at our product reviews here to get a better idea of the fit of each of the styles.

Contact us at 00800 3862 6687 or email us here for advice on what styles and sizes to try if you tend to be in between sizes.

How tall are your boots?

The height of our knee-length boots increases slightly with the shoe size, calf size and style of boot.

Please select your shoe size and a calf width on the product detail page and the boot height will be displayed on this page. Boot heights are the distance in a straight line from the top of the heel to the very top of the boot.

You will be able to see how the boots will fit you by measuring straight up the back of your leg from the base of your foot to the given boot height measurement.

I have wide/narrow feet. Will your boots fit me?

In calf widths of 30-40cm our boots come in a C foot fitting (standard width). In calf widths 40-50cm we manufacture the boots with a slightly wider shoe fitting.

There are certain styles and shapes that are better suited to a slightly wider/narrower foot, so please consult us if you have a particular style in mind.

If you need further advice, give us a call at 00800 3862 6687 or email us here and we will be happy to advise on styles that might suit your foot.

I have wide/narrow ankles, will your boots fit?

The size of the ankle on many of our boots changes with the size of the calf and the foot, and the style of the boot. In most cases we can get the right fit for you first time. However, if your experience is that your ankles are particularly large or slim compared to your calves, please contact us with your ankle measurement before you order, so we can suggest styles that may fit your leg shape better.

If you need further assistance, give us a call at 00800 3862 6687 or email us here. We will be happy to advise on styles that might suit your ankles.

I’m a first time buyer, what should I bear in mind?

  1. Narrow heels (such as stiletto) - when buying a pair of boots or shoes with a narrow heel, the pressure exerted on the heel is significant and the heavier the wear, the quicker the rubber ‘heel tip’ will wear out. If you plan to wear narrow heeled boots/shoes over extended periods of time, be aware that you will need to replace the heel tips regularly and before the tips wear completely. Replacing the heel tips with a metal tip would make your boots more hardwearing.
  2. Pointed styles - these boots or shoes can wear more quickly at the toe-piece. The tips should be replaced when they begin to look worn.
  3. Ankles - expect your boots to crease around the ankle over time. There needs to be space between your ankle and the boot to allow for freedom of movement. If they were made too tight in this area they would not be wearable.
  4. If you are buying online - it is very easy, just select your shoe size and calf/foot width from the homepage here or the boots page here and hit search. The website will show you everything that is in stock in your size at that moment. If you have any questions we’re here to help so please email us here or call us on 00800 3862 6687.
