Narrow Ankle Boots

Those of us who have turned an ankle understand very well the importance of structure in footwear and this is particularly true of narrow ankle boots. Most high street shoe shops take a one-size fits all approach. Here at DUO we beg to differ, using our tailoring expertise to develop a range of slim ankle boots that better suit the needs of a slender leg. Narrow ankle boots have two advantages: first in providing the wearer with better support, particularly when the slim ankle boot in question comes with a 6cm heel…; and second in better reflecting the natural curves of a slim ankle – after all, who wants to walk around in a pair of flower pots.

Narrow fit ankle boots require effort to get right, one reason why your average shoe shop may not feel confident going the extra mile when it comes to fit. The relationship between the instep (the top of your foot) and the fabric of the product, the height of the heel and the width of the ankle, together with the fabric itself are all variables that determine whether a narrow ankle boot lives up to the billing of narrow fit ankle boot. And then of course there is the style heart of the product itself – how it is designed to look and feel on a foot.

To retain the integrity of the design whilst delivering a slim ankle boot is challenging, but one the team here at DUO relishes. It’s fulfilling to see a slender leg woman walk confidently out of a DUO store, secure in the knowledge her ankle boots not only look great but feel great too.
