DUO in the community...

At DUO we take our responsibilities seriously. We are working hard to ensure we care about our staff, our environment and our communities, and we think it is important to give something back. This year we are taking a close look at our working practices and are identifying ways we can improve. Our standards are high, but we are continually striving to raise the bar on the quality of our products, our service, our impact on the environment and our operations.

Working for Duo
We treat health and safety as a priority at DUO. We are also working with our staff to make DUO the best employer we can possibly be. We are an equal opportunities employer, we regularly review our HR practices and we are in the process of developing an integrated training programme.

Our Products
Our calf-fitting boots are made in small, family-run businesses with whom we have been working for many years. Their standards reflect our own, and the relationships are based on mutual respect, high expectations and quality on both sides, knowledge and understanding.  We consider both the environment and ethical practices when sourcing products and components.

Our Packaging
We are striving to make our packaging as environmentally friendly as we can. We make a conscious effort to use recycled, degradable and recyclable materials to reduce our environmental impact. Our boxes are sturdy and reusable and our shop bags can also be used time and time again.

Housekeeping
We recycle as much as we can in our offices, warehouses and retail outlets. We operate ‘switch off’ policies in relation to light, heat and water and we are working hard to reduce our carbon levels.

Charity
DUO’s Charity for 2009/10 is ‘Winston’s Wish’, a wonderful charity supporting children who have tragically suffered the loss of a parent or sibling. We hope you will help us to support them too.
