This was my first purchase at Duo. Like the boot. Ordered down a half size (7 1/2) in the shoe part. It is a little bit stiff in the foot area. Hoping it will stretch or soften over time. My jeans and boot socks fit well in the calf area. I am a 16 1/2 inch calf. I ordered size 43 in calf size. No padding in the footbed so these will be for short trips with not a lot of walking involved.

The staff member I spoke to was so helpful. She told me that she has 44cm calves but found the 41cm boots were much more comfortable. I followed her advice and went down a size and I'm so glad I did. Perfect leg fit, if you choose a smaller leg measurement and nice and roomy for ankles too. The shoe size is a bit generous, but thick socks sort that out. Just wish Duo did half sizes too.

I decided I would keep them and would wear them with heavy socks and with a shoe insole, but the truth is that the boots are a number or two larger than the size I requested.

This style is a great weekend option, with the casual leg and generous ankle fit. A great style for those wanting more room at the ankle ankles or tuck in your jeans with a wool sock for that cosy feel. Consider the smaller calf size if you fall in between. Similarly with a generous foot if you are between sizes opt for the smaller foot size.
